New: Koi Neko v03 ch20-21

Koi Neko Ch20
Koi Neko Ch21

Back to this series, yay! Unfortunately, I still only have the tankoubon RAWs for the 3rd volume. Hopefully the 4th volume and beyond turn up soon, otherwise I’ll have to either use the magazine scans or ask someone to scan the next book.

——————————————————–

@Kell: Ichinensei’s fifth volume doesn’t have a release date yet on Houbunsha’s website. So, this is only my speculation based on the release dates from the previous volumes. Except for the time between the first and second volume (8 months), the rest of the books take about 6 months between releases. So, it’s most likely going to be released around this December.

@Sirian: I currently have no idea what Morocco is a reference for (Archer thinks she might be mispronouncing Ioriko). Though, I might find out at some later point in time, like the story Iori used for the heart-shaped bruise on his butt was the same story used in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure for why the main character has his hair styled a certain way, and the kindergarten Yume was gawking at in chapter 23 of Ichinensei was the same kindergarten as the one in Masakazu Ooi’s really old serial, “Himawari Youchien Monogatari Aiko Desho!”, which I haven’t read until recently (This is also being scanlated in English, though they’re only done with like three volumes out of eight I think).

@tazmanian: Ah, thanks for the perma-seeded batch torrent.

@kay: You’re welcome. Ichinensei isn’t sold in my region either, which is why I have to import it. The shipping fees merely brings the total value to a little less than how much a localised manga generally costs in my country. I think both chapter 27 and its 27.5 version are both on mangahelpers, so you probably don’t need to e-mail me it. Thanks for the offer, though.

@Galen: I remember having to research Okusan when one of the editors commented about it in chapter 22 of Ichinensei. Anonymous is right about Ooi-sensei usually working on two to three serials simultaneously.

@Kenshin-the-Wanderer: Yeah, that’s an accurate translation of the Japanese Title. The one I was referring to was the Taiwan localisation’s title. Weirdly enough, the Korean localisation’s title is just a hangulisation of the Japanese one.

@dayrains: If Ichinensei ni Nacchattara is a prequel to Joou Ari, then Rin really took a 180 degree turn in personality between stories. n_n;

I don’t remember seeing anything like that in chapter 23 somehow… Which page was it happening at anyway?

  5. Thx for the answer, normally I just skip things like these and forget about them but somehow this one bothrerd me :)

I love such references to other Manga, like those you mentioned but I guess the most are wasted on me and I never notice them ^^

  7. Huh. Maybe in the next few days I’ll find a working link for Seishun no Binta (and finally find out what all this fuss is about). Thank you for being so very fast with these releases.

I really enjoy the huge gap between Ichinensei and Okusan, wish more authors had such diverse interests. Most of them seem to get stuck in a really bad rut, even if sometimes it is a popular pit they have fallen into.

  8. This artist seems to draw mainly mangas involving a loli as one of the main character if not the main character though.

Page 28. All you see is the sign that says “Himawari Kindergarten” on the fence Yume is peeking through.

    >This artist seems to draw mainly mangas involving a loli as one of the main character if not the main character though.

With lots of large breasted adults as supporting characters.

  10. …I’ve since found a few more of the author’s titles. I stand corrected. Still very readable.

Author of Ichigo 100%, Hatsukoi Limited, and currently Ane-Doki, seems to have screwed himself again. For that matter I am very suspicious about the hardcore “CANCELED!!” ringing over the head of To-Love-Ru. Was he just that bad at ending it, or was there just no time?

  11. >Was he just that bad at ending it, or was there just no time?
Aiko Desho’s ending seemed very rushed to me too. It happened very suddenly.

  12. Well, still no luck with Seishun no Binta. For that matter, KNJ c53 has further cemented that manga’s ‘japan-only’ status. I do always enjoy a good face-stomp in comedies, but doesn’t it seem like there’s been a lot of series recently about men who need to physically overpower women to PREVENT perverted acts? I wonder where it came from, or perhaps it is a natural role-reversal?

I think I like Aiko Desho. I have not seen any new chapters recently, though. Not sure if I liked the ending in the raws. A little too much like a console-dating-sim “tender feelings” ending for my taste. Those types of game also tend to ruin any derivative works.

  13. Calc-Yolatuh:

You’ll find Mediafire links for Seishun no Binta about two-thirds of the way down this page:

    You’re welcome ;-)
